Radio 1 are giving the airwaves over to One Direction! Saturday 6th October is now officially Radio 1Day! From 8am to 6pm the band will be live on air to celebrate the release of their brand new single and album. Each band member will join a different Radio 1 DJ for chats, music, interviews and surprises along the way. This is one not to miss so put the date in your diaries!

It is set to be released as the lead single on 30 September 2012, by Syco Records. Written by Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha, "Live While We're Young" is a pop song and a video for it was recorded between 23 and 24 August 2012. Made available for global pre-order on 24 August 2012, the song became the fastest-selling pre-order single in history, topping the advance sales charts in 40 countries.
